You know I started this blog to share the special moments that happen in our world of auctions and yesterday, we had one of those. Often, I try to share a story with people in my life about the day to day of what I do, and it’s often one of those “you have to be there” moments. Yesterday, during our preview, we met a new friend who is a French Opera singer! She sat down and blessed us all with at least half of an aria. The haunting and melodious tones enveloped the gallery and it will go down as a day to remember. Of course, many folks previewing didn’t know what was going on, exactly, so I enjoyed watching all as we were trying to figure out what was going on. Everyone just sort of stopped until the singing concluded at which time a respectful round of applause was given. If you were there, you know what I mean. Don’t miss previews.
